Some put in extra hours
Just to take a hot shower.
The cost of living getting higher
Who got the power?
Is it those factions fighting against the norms
Oh! The house held by the children of the corn.
The ozone is gone it’s sure getting warm
It’s evident by the production that’s made on these farms.
I love the righteous for what they proclaim and what they are saying,
They put my mind in a mindset to get some learning from the text
To see what’s going to happen next,
But some need to get on their knees and start praying though
Not for wants but for needs.
Some would be happy for those chips from Captain D’s.
Some make moves from sea to sea
But my car can barely move from A to B.
Don’t take this as no joke but the extremities of everyday living
Are lathering up like soap
But not washing down the drain though.
I don’t have much money but hold the fame though.
From Conus to Oconus
The mind of the intelligent sunk to petty crimes and peddling.
Why! Because the system is constructed to keep us struggling
On that day when your stomach’s bubbling
They gone bust in and start cuffing
And what’s going to happen next
You may want to protest.
Cause they want to code us with a chip in my mind they don’ flipped
Make me want to stash extra clips
For my heat, but if I use it I been beat
So I gain knowledge from these books and these streets
The old and the young and the words they speak
And store it in an open space for recall
Some of yall might feel me
And some of yall might think I’m of the wall
But this is what is in my mindset.
